- Introduction

Hello!
My name is Nick Lilavois, and I am a programmer, web developer, multimedia developer, corporate trainer, and graphic designer. In short, I wear a lot of hats.
As a programmer, I write Microsoft Windows applications in C and C#, and Apple iPhone apps in Macintosh Objective-C in Xcode. I have three iPhone apps in Apple's app store, and I'm working on a number of others. You can see info about my apps and the iTunes links to them here: http://www.MediaUtopia.com The ones currently available are utilities and novelties, but I am working on games and productivity apps as well. Previously, I wrote projects ranging from a Windows 3.1 system shell replacement to keep track of student and instructor log-ons and access, to a dynamic CAD file viewer that hooks into authoring systems.
As a web developer, I code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, XHTML, DHTML, Ajax, ASP/JScript and ASP.NET C#. Just like with programming, I write code from scratch, in the native languages, rather than just dragging and dropping in template editors. In addition to web sites, I have built database-driven web-based applications, including a Courseware Management System and WBT development application.
As a multimedia developer, I created projects in Adobe Authorware, SumTotal ToolBook and IconAuthor, as well as programming languages and web development languages.
As a corporate trainer, I was available for public speaking engagements in classes, offices, workshops and organization meetings on various topics- Basic Computer Graphics, Image Processing, 3D graphics, Virtual Reality, Web Development and Web Programming. I am a co-author for the textbook Technologies for Education: A Practical Guide. I wrote the sections dealing with computer graphics theory and production.
I have taught in multimedia and web development workshops that were held at the SALT Conferences which are held annually in Orlando and Washington, D.C. I taught computer Graphics within the University of Central Florida's art department, and I have spoken on graphics and multimedia production in Distance Learning/Instructional Design classes for the University of South Florida's Department of Education. I can explain complex technology in very simple terms.
As a Photographer, Illustrator, and Computer Graphic Artist, I have done everything from image processing to 3D modeling and animation. For 2D I use Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator, as well as easily jumping to any other application as needed. For 3D I primarily used Autodesk 3DS Max, but I have used Alias/Wavefront, ElectroGIG, Maya, and various other products on the SGI, Solaris, Windows, Macintosh and DOS platforms. You can see a portfolio of some of my work at http://www.ArtUtopia.com.
I am looking to expand my career in new media entertainment, training or gaming where I can use my skills to their fullest potential.
